Sideline (Football Only) Cheer

Cost: $100. Girls will be given uniform and poms to borrow for the season and will need to purchase their own: red bloomers for under skirt, crop top (color will depend on team), white socks and all white sneakers (either running-style or cheer shoes).
Season begins Mid-Aug for cheer camp (not required, as girls may be away on vacation)
Cheer camp is held on the fields at Fort Washington Elementary School.
Once school begins, practices will be held once/week (days and times TBD once volunteer coaches are selected and availability confirmed), and girls will, on average, cheer for one game per weekend. Practices will be held at one of the Upper Dublin School District schools.
The season will end in November at an End of Season Showcase (date announced in fall) at Upper Dublin High School in the Athletic Complex Gym.
Competition Cheer (Sideline/Football + Competition)
Registration available online NOW! Girls planning to try out for a competition team must select this specific registration when signing up.
Girls must be signed up and paid for competition cheer BEFORE tryouts. (If your child does not make a competition team, a refund will be provided.)
Parent Meeting- Thurs, May 30 from 7-8 at UDHS Forum Room
Tryouts will be held June 4-6 at Upper Dublin High School in the Aux Gym (upstairs, when coming in from the Athletic Complex). Times are 6-8 pm.
Teams will either be, depending on turnout, a 10U and 14U OR a 10U, 12U, and 14U.
Girls with at least one year of sideline cheer experience are eligible to try out for a competition team. Alternatively, one year of COMPETITIVE dance or gymnastics experience may substitute this requirement.
Competitive teams will practice twice a week (10U and 12U) and three times/week (14U). If THREE teams are selected (v. two), the schedule will be as followed:
10U- T, W 6-7:30
12U - M, Th 6-7:30
14U- M, W, Th 7:30-9
*** If, due to lower turnout, we end up with two teams, the younger team will have a modified schedule.
Competition Team fees are $350 for a 6 month season. UCA Camp is scheduled (mandatory) for Sept 7,8- 14U team only. (Summer practices TBA)
Fall Practices AND Football Games are subject to strict attendance policy.
